About me

Hello! ➰

Hair Transition

My name is Marta and just like you, I’ve always hated my hair volume, frizz and hair waves that didn’t make any sense.

I tried my best to make my hair straight by chemically relaxing my waves, going to several bad hairdressers, hair bleaching, everyday blow-drying and using straightening flat irons and products… with no success at all. Until one day, I realized that all I needed was to know and treat my hair in a dignifying way.

I didn’t care much about my hair before. I did all of these bad things to it and I never learnt the lesson. In 2015, I had a hairdresser who, with bad practise, bleached my hair even though it was completely ruined by using my hair straightener every day, so I got a chemical cut and elastic hair. My hair was ruined for a long, long time. Ever since then, I decided to give a chance to my kind of waves, that with time and love came back to life as healthy curls.

Why does this page exists?

I want this project to teach you everything you need to know about your curls so you can have healthy hair, with maximum definition and volume!

This idea came from, both in Portugal and in England, random people approach me about my hair care and my curls. After helping some friends to get their curls back, I thought it was time to share this knowledge with the world .

I love helping and inspiring people. My goal is to guide you on this journey to love your hair as it is, because there is a huge sense of freedom in loving ourselves just the way we are.

I’m an anaesthetic nurse that is currently undertaking the Trichology course in the UK. Because I do a lot of clinical practise in Hospital settings where all clinical procedures are based on scientific evidence, I love to mix science and hair? Because of this, I relate all my hair tips and posts with reviews of scientific articles.
